Singapore First Fully-Elected, Post-Colonial Government
50 years ago, on 30 May 1959, the People Action Party (PAP), in opposition for the past 4 years, swept 43 out of 51 seats in polls to become the first fully-elected, post-colonial government. MM Lee was the first Prime Minister of Singapore.
